Sophomore Season Analysis

Mr. Nelson is from Lake Zurich High School where he works as a dual threat QB putting strain on opposing defenses with his legs. Here, this young man runs the read option where he uses his vision to find lanes quickly and gashes defenses for big gains downfield once he gains a step on 2nd level defenders. It’s this threat that can get defenses to bite down on RPOs and play action leading to open passing lanes across the middle of the field which this young man exploits. There’s no doubt he’s a threat when the ball is in his hands and the high untapped potential that still has yet to come to light.
